Mpumalanga - known as "Paradise Country" is home not only to the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino), but also an area of immense natural beauty, picturesque villages, tribal legends, pioneering history and all the excitement of gold rush fever. Whether you choose to explore the area in the comfort of your own car, staying in a restcamp in the the world-famous Kruger National Park, a hotel adjacent to the park or indulge in a private game reserve, you can enjoy teeming wildlife, crackling camp-side fires and sundowners.Please see below, a sample of itinerary: DAY 1 Schedule flight from OR Tambo International Airport to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your preferred game lodge (please see ON SAFARI for a selection of game lodges). Your game viewing experience starts with an afternoon game drive in an open safari vehicle. Sundowners are normally served in a remote area under clear African skies. A night drive en route back to camp allows you to view some of South Africa's nocturnal animals and birds. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner at the lodge. Overnight at the lodge FULL BOARD including game viewing activities DAY 2 After an early morning wake-up call, enjoy a game drive followed by breakfast. The remainder of the morning may be spent relaxing by the pool or a guided bush walk (for the more active) to witness the intricate environment often missed whilst driving . Lunch is follwed by a short aftenoon siesta that will refress you before setting off for the late afternoon game drive, returning in time for another African feast. Later exchange stories around the campfire and be lulled to sleep by the sounds of untamed Africa Overnight at the lodge FULL BOARD including game viewing activities DAY 3 Spend your last morning scanning the bush for any elusive species that you have not yet encountered. After breakfast, transfer to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport for your short flight back to Johannesburg |
