GARDEN ROUTE DISCOVERY (Tour Ref: G/R/D)

DAY 1:

This morning we travel via Du Toit’s Kloof Pass over the mountain to Worcester. We drive through the unique and rugged Little Karoo passing through towns of Barrydale and Calitzdorp through the ever-changing semi desert areas to Hlangana Lodge (4star) /similar in Oudtshoorn for your overnight stay, (Bed +breakfast)

DAY 2:

After a hearty breakfast, we visit the vast limestone Cango Caves for a fully guided tour and an ostrich farm for a ride on the ostrich. Time permitting, an optional tour of the Crocodile and Cheetah Park. We leave Oudtshoorn, driving through the scenic Outeniqua Mountains and on to South Africa’s “oyster capital” Knysna. Overnight at The Lofts or similar (4star) (Bed + breakfast)

DAY 3

After breakfast, enjoy a cruise on the Knysna Lagoon to the Knysna Heads. Optional lunch at the Feartherbed Nature Reserve. Later visit Kynsna Elephant Park– have an opportunity to touch an African elephant. Have an opportunity to enjoy a variety of leisure activities in and around Knysna. Overnight at The Lofts (Bed +breakfast)

DAY 4:

This morning, we leave Knysna via the scenic Wilderness and picturesque George to Mossel Bay. (Optional: Guests can be dropped off in George for a scenic ride on South Africa’s only remaining steam train, the Outeniqua Choo Tjoe to Mossel Bay and we later pick them up in Mossel Bay). In Mossel Bay, we visit the Diaz Museum with relics of famous explorers and thereafter send a postcard to friends or relations from the famous Post Office Tree. Overnight in Mossel Bay at the Point Hotel or similar (4star) (Bed + Breakfast) Day 5: After breakfast, we leave the Garden Route and travel back to Cape Town (Breakfast)
