Garden Route & Winelands Tour

GARDEN ROUTE AND WINELANDS TOUR REF: C/GR/W (8nights / 9days)

Day 1:

On arrival in Cape Town, you will be met and private transfer to the Victoria & Alfred Hotel for

a 3 night stay (B). Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2:

This morning, we travel along the scenic Atlantic Ocean coastline to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.

Day 3:

This morning’s tour takes you directly to the cableway and up to Table Mountain, followed by a city tour.

you may wish to take an optional visit to Robben Island

Day 4:

After breakfast, we travel via Cape Winelands to Stellenbosch. Wine tasting and museum visit. Continue to Worcester and Robertson.

Overnight in Montague (D)

Day 5

Travel to Oudtshoorn via Barrydale and Ladismith. A guided tour of the Ostrich Farm and after lunch, tour vast limestone Cango Caves.

Overnight in Oudtshoorn (FB)

DAY 6

Travel over the Outeniqua Pass to George. Board Outeniqua Choo Tjoe steam train for short journey. Transfer to Knysna, the ‘Garden of Eden’ with its magnificent lagoon and board ferry to the Featherbed Nature Reserve.

Enjoy trailer ride to top of Western Head and walk back through Milkwood trees for lunch.

Overnight in Knysna (BL)

Day 7:

Drive through Nature’s Valley and the Tsitsikamma Forests. Return to Knysna via Plettenberg Bay. Overnight in Knysna (B)

DAY 8

Travel via George, Mossel Bay, and Swellendam (optional lunch). Continue to Hermanus – world’s best shore based whale watching sites.

Overnight in Hermanus. (BL)

Day 9

Depart Hermanus via coastal road to Somerset West. Lunch at wine farm. Continue to Cape Town where tour ends on arrival late afternoon. (BL)

Passengers may disembark, on request at Cape Town international Airport.
